Situated about 7km off the coast of North Wales, between Rhyl and Prestatyn, North Hoyle's 60MW capacity provides enough clean electricity to power some 40,000 homes.
North Sea Logistics provided three transfer vessels during the construction of what was, at the time, the UK's biggest offshore wind farm, and still operates "Celtic Wind", a purpose-built shallow-draft service vessel, and "Little Mike", an 8m water-jet RIB. To date, "Celtic CHALLENGER" has safely carried out well over 250,000 personnel transfers to the 30 turbines at North Hoyle.
